Visiting Scholars

The Chair Port Economics accommodates research visits of foreign scholars. The chair aims to provide an inspiring research environment for scholars engaged in port research. Various arrangements can be made, from short term research visits of senior scholars, to longer term visiting scholars, and external PhD students who use a research grant or scholarship to work at Erasmus University for a period.

In the past, scholars from Canada (dr. E. Guy) China (prof. B. Song, Shanghai Maritime University) and France (Pierre Franc MSc, French institute for Transport and Safety Research 'INRETS' Paris) were temporarily part of the port Economics team.

Al research visits are warmly accommodated, as they enhance the research environment at Erasmus University and provide opportunities to expand the international cooperation. Scholars interested in research visits are encouraged to contact Larissa van der Lugt (vanderlugt@few.eur.nl)
